June 27, 2016

Richmond, TX – Moses Rangel’s single “Thinkin’ You Could Be Mine” climbs the Texas Regional Radio Charts. After two weeks on the charts, the single slots itself at the number 100 spot this week.

“We are working really hard to get new radio station adds everyday. It’s a lot of work, but very rewarding to see it climb up the charts.” – Moses Rangel

“Thinkin’ You Could Be Mine” was written by Nashville songwriters, Cassundra Gale Isom Hunter & David Mark Kerr. The song is a great representation of love’s complex questions about making a relationship work, am I chasing a dream or could this be the real deal. Moses Rangel & Michael Hughes, along with a talented crew at Nashville's Hartwell Studios, revamped the original musical arrangement and sound. The result was a modern, swampy, soulful edge that steps outside of today’s country music sound. The tune is available on iTunes and/or can be downloaded at mosesrangel.com/momusic.

“For those that are wanting to find out more information on what stations are playing “Thinkin' You Could Be Mine”, go to moseserangel.com/radio.
Richmond, TX -

Hello My Friends!

I would like to take the time to honor and thank our Veterans this Memorial Day. It is a mournful day of remembrance for so many families and friends. A day to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Let us not forget their sacrifices and their families that have given so much.

FREEDOM IS NOT FREE. That statement means so many things on so many levels, but most of us won't ever take the time to understand or embrace it. We live in a world where most of us take our freedoms, liberties and simple convinces for granted. Let today be a reminder. A reminder that holds each one of us accountable for what it means to be a free American. Yes my friends... our soldiers have fought and continue to fight for us everyday. "Freedom Is Not Free" It is paved by the lives, blood, sweat, tears and sacrifices of those who chose to stand up and fight for our way of living. Take the time to honor and respect these men and women today.

In the words of my friend, U.S. Marine GySgt. Hunter Sorrells....
"So on this day let us not say Happy Memorial Day. Instead let us use the phrase Honor Memorial Day”.

Let us not forget that today is about our fallen brothers and sisters and the remembrance of what it cost to keep us free.

Please take the time to donate and give back to our soldiers, especially those that are needing our help.

Here are a couple of organizations that I have had the honor to be a part of and more than happy to endorse.

Since then, the bunch had crossed paths from time to time, but not all together. It was a profound moment, even more so because it was for a scholarship fund benefiting our future minds.

Bright Minds Scholarship Fund is a non-profit organization established for the sole purpose of providing scholarship funds for higher education to graduating seniors throughout Wharton County.

In 2007, a group of interested citizens implemented a community-wide program to facilitate the collection and distribution of funds to assist worthy graduating high school seniors in their various communities. We want our recipients to feel appreciated, important, and valuable – just like the bright minds of Wharton County that they are.

Our mission is to raise funds and work with the various Wharton County High Schools to identify graduating seniors worthy of financial support for obtaining a college or technical school education. Eligible graduating high school seniors can download a scholarship application or visit their high school counselor’s office.

Each year students from Boling, East Bernard, Wharton, El Campo and Louise are identified as having potential to successfully further their education and showing a need for financial assistance.

Just as the book, The Little Engine That Could focuses on what you can accomplish if you “think you can”, the Bright Minds scholarship recipients exemplify that same can-do attitude. We encourage you to browse our web site, check out our past recipients or download an application for yourself or a Bright Mind in your life. Investing in our Future – One Mind At A Time.

This is an important yearly event for me. 2014 was my induction year. What an emotional, fulfilling couple days. I am so grateful to our Brothers. Their sacrifices are so great that we will never know the cost. Making friendships, laughing, hunting and singing songs were all a bonus. Overall, this event provides our warriors a wonderful experience of just BEING. It’s something that we all take for granted. – Moses Rangel

Combat Marine Outdoors started in 2005 after visiting combat wounded Marines and Sailors from the 1st Marine Division at Brooke Army Medical Center for several months. The Marines, Sailors and service members there needed an opportunity to get away from the hospital, in an environment of friendship, camaraderie, and fellowship with fellow Marines in order to accelerate their recovery from the traumatic injuries they sustained in combat. In many cases, these service members did not want to leave the confines of the hospital, but it was (and is) crucial to begin to re-inculcate back into society. In every case, the Marines and other service members who participated in the outings felt an enormous sense of accomplishment and a new sense of hope and belonging once the trip was completed, while the hunting and fishing aspects of the program are important, they are merely a vehicle to demonstrate to these heroes that there are tens of thousands of patriotic Americans who truly care about these brave warriors and are willing to show their appreciation and support by providing once-in-a-lifetime adventures in some of the most incredible places in the world. The camaraderie, friendship and fellowship associated with each outing have had an incredible healing property, and in many cases, were a turning point in the emotional recovery of these Marines, Sailors and service members. We continue to provide life-changing outdoor adventures to these brave heroes and we have approximately 50 ranches that actively participate in the program. To date, we have taken over 2000 combat wounded on the adventure of a lifetime. – Combat Marine Outdoors
Moses Rangeltag:www.mosesrangel.com,2005:Post/41588742016-04-29T04:03:47-05:002017-01-15T14:11:33-06:00AV & SoundmastersAugust 16, 2015

Huntsville, TX – A.V.
